This is one of the acting schools in Florida that offers an undergraduate degree in straight acting and musical theater (as well as a general BA in Theater).
Beyond the required graduation and liberal studies courses, actors in both BFA programs study theater history, acting, voice, movement, play analysis, makeup, technical theater and directing. Acting students also take classes in stage combat, dialects, costumes and auditioning technique, while musical theater students take private voice coaching classes and study music history and theory, musical theater, keyboard, dance, and sight-singing.
Actors have an opportunity to study in London during the fall semester of their junior year. Among other things, London students study Shakespeare and discover the city’s theatre scene through backstage tours and regularly attending performances at London theaters. This Florida acting school also offers a prestigious graduate acting program.
