AIA Actors Studio
by Traci Hainsworth, Artistic Director
(Burbank, CA)
This Los Angeles acting studio brings together actor training, career preparation and networking through classes by industry professionals.
Career Preparation: Because of AIA Studios’ reputation and its longevity in the entertainment industry, the Studio receives requests from Casting companies, production companies, directors, producers and others for referrals when casting new and current projects.
Classes are divided into several categories:
Artistic Development – The focus in each series is on a particular topic such as audition technique, cold reading, hosting, scene study and other areas.
Length of a series is 2 to 5 weeks.
Casting Director Workshops – Casting professionals are expected to not only evaluate a client’s work and teach artistically but they also teach a segment on the “business of the business”.
Agent & Manager Classes – These classes are an opportunity to have your work seen by professionals as well as receive feedback and teaching on the “business of the business”.
Weekend Intensives – The Intensives are 3 full days of training and preparation for an acting career from industry professionals. These Weekends are created to empower the experience and change the course of the actor’s career in the professional arena and beyond. During this 3-day intensive, actors meet, work with and are evaluated by top industry professionals in casting, producing, network, talent representation and management.
Marketing classes – These classes are free to members and vary from teaching marketing ideas and techniques, as well as have companies come in and teach the hows and whys of their part of the industry, including companies such as Breakdown Services, Actor’s Access, headshot photographers, demo real producers, and more.
AIA Studio also offers a web presence for all clients, called iStudio. This gives clients an opportunity to upload their headshot and resume.
The Studio also has an intensive vendor list which is available to clients. Vendors, such as photographers offer discounts to our clients.
What Students Need to Apply: All applicants must schedule a free artistic evaluation. At that time, prospective clients need to submit a headshot and resume. Demo reels are also requested if available.
