QUESTION:
I want to break into voice-overs. How do I go about getting an agent in NYC?
ANSWER:
For voice-over work, I would recommend you create a demo CD with all the different voices you can do (one voice per track), then get a copy of “Ross Reports” where all the New York Talent Agencies are listed. Highlight only the agencies that have a voice-over department and send your CD specifically to the agent in charge of voice-overs (along with a cover letter). Some agencies may even accept MP3 submissions online.
Voice-overs are a fun business to break into. Best of luck!
